Firstly let me apologise for the lack of updates on this site since JULY !!!
After a good start, circumstances led me to be so tied up with other things that I couldn’t continue with running it and I failed to get anyone else to take over. Mea Culpa.
However, although still very busy, I do hope to put some more effort back into this site from mid-winter onwards.
If anyone else would like to join in with keeping this ticking over then that would be great. email firstname.lastname@example.org
Most of the urgent but not important stuff goes on our facebook page, this site is really intended more as a record and repository of what we are doing and useful information.
We have made steady progress through the year. Rob Butler has been doing amazing work with delivering aid into refugee areas in Northern Europe. The weekly drop-off for donated items continues at the Central Methodist Church from 10-12am on Tuesdays. We are nearly a charity – which will mean we start to get gift-aid tax-back on qualifying donations. Meanwhile the bank account slowly grows and we are about one third of the way towards having the funding for our first family…
OHOB is filling a container to send to Greece at the beginning of August.
Please bring items either to the regular drop-off and sorting session on Tuesdays from 10-12 at the Central Methodist Church, or to the meeting on Friday 27th July at 19:30 in the Liberty Suite above Jerichos. Continue reading “Collection for Greece -deadline 31st July”
