An exhibition and talk with Baraa Ehssan Kouja
Thursday 29th June Liberty Suite above Jerichos.
Exhibition from midday, Talk at 7pm
The exhibition features artwork by children living in refugee camps. There is also a book, and voices telling stories from the camps – these include children talking about their past, their present, their future as it seems to them, their dreams and their feelings
Come along to understand the Syrian crisis though the words of refugee Baraa Ehssan Kouja, founder of From Syria With Love.
Exhibition opens Midday. Barra will be available throughout – do drop in anytime to browse the exhibition. There is the opportunity to buy the artwork or book for a donation.
Talk and show starts 7pm. Baraa will tell his personal story. This is a unique opportunity to hear directly what the refugee experience is like for those being displaced.
From Syria With Love is a registered charity (#116963) and all donations go directly to refugee camps in Syria.
It is from camps in Syria that our Government resettlement scheme draws its clients – LRSG is working towards resettling at least one family in Launceston.
This event is an important chance to hear some background to the family who will eventually arrive here. Syria is not so different to our home…
