Use this form to sign up as a volunteer with LRSG. There are three pages to this form, the first is your contact details, the second page asks about skills and experience you might have, and the third page asks if there are specific things you would like to help with and other information.

Page 1 - Contact

Information you enter here will be available to LRSG Committee members – Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. Selected information may be shared with other trustees and organisers of events and activities on a need-to-know basis.
No-one is permitted to share this information with any other organisation or individual or make use of it for any purposes not related to LRSG.

We use email as the primary means of contact. You will be added to our news email list which sends a couple of emails a month (you can unsubscribe if you wish with the link at the bottom of any email)
Check this box if you do not have email. We will phone you to discuss how best to stay in contact.
We may contact you by phone about specific activities.
We do not routinely send things out by post, but it helps to know where you live for some specific tasks.

Page 2 - Skills

This page is about skills or experience that you may have which could be useful. There are no required fields on this page or the next so if you wish to skip to the end of page 3 you can, and then you can come back and fill in more details later.

Do you have a current DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service check for working with children and vulnerable people) check.
Do you have any experience of working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults? Please give brief details.
Do you have a current clean driving licence?
Do you have access to a car you could use to offer lifts?
Does your car have a child seat fitted?
Do you speak or understand any languages other than English? For each indicate on a scale of 1-7 how fluent you are where 1 means you can order a coffee and understand some simple instructions and 7 means you speak and understand fluently. Obviously we are particularly interested in Arabic.
Do you have a TEFL or similar qualification and experience?
Do you have any experience of helping organise or running events or activities? Do you have any experience of fundraising?
Do you have any skills or experience with publicity, public relations, media? Do you have any technical or practical skills or experience (eg IT, Handyman)?

Page 3 - Offers

This page asks what sort of things you would like to do with LRSG, when you are available, and any other information.

Would you like to help with collecting and sorting aid that we send to Care for Calais, Open Hearts Open Borders and similar organisations working with refugees in Europe.
Would you occasionally be available to help deliver aid to Northern Europe?
Would you like to work directly with a Syrian family when they arrive as a 'befriender' helping them navigate through an new culture and language. There will be a small team of befrienders working with each family.
Would you be able to offer lifts to take family members and befriender to appointments (eg medical and social services)? Usually daytime and may involve waiting.
Details of any relevant previous experience
Would you like to help run LRSG? There are several organisational roles that need filling and deputies. Some would need you to come to regular meetings, others are more back-room functions.
What sort of aspects interest you, do you have any experience as a treasurer, chairing meetings, taking notes, membership secretary, data officer or other role?
